Hello my name is Stevie and I am 13 years old, I am the Navigate Oceania’s junior reporter - I LOVE to travel!!!!
It’s the holidays at the moment! (YAY). I was really excited because I had never been to Rotorua before. I was lucky to have the opportunity to go with my Aunty Karine in the school holidays.

The drive was lovely it was very natural (but it was long though) and was about three hours long from Auckland. When we arrived at Rotorua we had a look around the town and we looked at so many different things like the Gondola, Luge, Kiwi Adventure Park, Rotorua boiling pools, and exciting boiling mud pools. Then we went to a restaurant for dinner at the Lone Star Restaurant.

Later that day at about 7:30pm we arrived at the lodge called Kawaha Point Lodge its right next to the lake - the lodge is amazing!!!!!! The best thing about the lodge is the gardens - I LOVED THEM!!!!! They were amazing and they also have a huge swimming pool.

Tony and Margaret are the owners of Kawaha Point Lodge they are very lovely & kind people. They treated Karine and I like GOLD!!! Hahaha………….. They have a very nice Chef called André and a very lovely housekeeper who actually lives in the Whakarewarewa village.

Even though it was raining there was so much in Rotorua that kids could do…

For example:
• Agrodome- Animal farm
• Adventure park
• Rainbow springs
• Paradise valley- Baby lions
• Skyline rides(ludge)
• Whakarewarewa Thermal Village & Marae
• QE- Magnificent spa, massage & aromatherapy
• Jet ride- at lodge
• Helicopter ride- at lodge

Whakarewarewa is a nice Maori village that they opened up to the public - some people who live in the village actually cook their food in the geyser (boiling water pools).
