Edenhouse Escape

EdenhouseThanks to Peter & Bobbie for a magical stay at Edenhouse. I was thoroughly looked after from the moment I stepped off the plane at Nelson Airport. Peter was there to meet me and we went straight to lunch to enjoy a perfect sample of Nelson’s delicious food and wine.

Onto Edenhouse; a “hi” to Bobbie, a quick tour of the estate and an introduction to Annie the beautiful Golden Labrador and Guest Liaison Officer. I then enjoyed a relaxing afternoon followed by a delicious evening meal and then early to bed due to our pending early start the following morning.

What a stunning property – and so much of it hand worked with love and dedication. This is a home open to the world, a chance for the international visitor to connect with an amazing piece of the country.

Thanks for the delightful stay and chance to refresh!

Kawaha Point LodgeMy partner and I recently had an amazing opportunity to spend a weekend at Kawaha Point Lodge in Rotorua. We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the well kept grounds surrounding the property. We were greeted with friendly smiles, hand shakes and felt immediately at home in this elegant lodge. The service and attention to detail was impeccable, and the food was superb. We came away feeling very pampered, totally relaxed and de-stressed.

Wonderful Chalet Eiger

Chalet EigerThis weekend my partner and I had the wonderful opportunity to be hosted by Emil and Hea Min at the beautiful Chalet Eiger. We were stunned by the minute we arrived with the beautiful garden, views, peacefullness and the genuine warmth of our hosts. The rooms were immaculate with large bathrooms, comfortable Natural beds and they had every amenity one could ask for (even to satisfy that late night chocolate craving!). In the morning we enjoyed the misty lake views with a lovely breakfast with homemade goods.
This has been a truely memorable experience that is hard to beat, thank you.

A Special Experience with Treetops

Treetops Lodge & Wilderness ExperienceLast weekend I finally got the chance to take a look at Treetops Lodge & Wilderness Experience. This place had fascinated me since its opening, so it was great to finally get there & I was not disappointed. The special experience started the moment we turned off the main highway - the spectacular scenery with the volcanic ridge in the background, the rolling hills, the forest. Then arriving at Treetops Lodge & Wilderness Experience, crossing the trout-filled stream to reach the front door & into the Great Room - the super friendly welcome by all the staff & even some guests who seemed like they were visiting family, the largesse of everything. Our villa, looking directly out onto the native bush, was very comfortable & we immediately regretted not arriving earlier - we wanted to relax & enjoy the villa but also to go out & explore the gorgeous native bush (the following morning we made our way to the stunning Bridal Veil Falls). Dinner & breakfast were also great, & dinner was topped off by chef Eru gracing us with a song & even an impromptu Haka, for the benefit of our American table companions.
Thank you to Navigate Oceania, Heiko & the team at Treetops Lodge & Wilderness Experience for giving a weekend to remember!

Classic Elegance at Cotter House

Posted by default on November 18th, 2009

Cotter House, AucklandRecently I had the opportunity to experience the classic elegance of Cotter House. Gloria was such a warm, welcoming host, she absolutely pampers you from the minute you walk in the door. Cotter House has a rich history and Gloria is happy to share this, and stories of her colourful, busy life. The room was delightful, and beautifully appointed, the bathroom - to die for…..If you love art and sculpture, then this is the place to visit. We also enjoyed the French style high tea, and the very french style full Breakfast, which made us feel like royalty. Take your time, be spoilt and pampered within a piece of Auckland history. Thanks for the hospitality Gloria.

Luxury in Wellington at the Bolton Hotel

Posted by debbie on October 21st, 2009

Bolton HotelMy name is Mani Fagundes and I work for PDNZ as an FIT Specialist operator. My previous position was one of the inbound tour guides and I travelled all around New Zealand for 7 years.
I had the opportunity to stay one night at The Bolton Hotel in Wellington on the 16th October I was extremely surprised by this property.

The service was great from the moment I stepped in the modern and beautifully furnished lobby area. Their premier suite was stunning. Open space environment and an easy flow between the room, lounge and bathroom. I found the suite to be very contemporary with a great attention to detail and very spacious. Furthermore my room hag a great view towards the park. The king bed was very comfortable and cozy. Bathroom was big and the shower head very strong. I also enjoyed the facilities including the Spa, Sauna and Pool. I highly recommend this hotel.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Navigate and The Bolton Hotel for providing this night of luxury in Wellington.

Regards
Mani

I am 13 years old and I love to travel

Posted by Karine Thomas on October 14th, 2009

Stevie WindramHello my name is Stevie and I am 13 years old, I am the Navigate Oceania’s junior reporter - I LOVE to travel!!!!
It’s the holidays at the moment! (YAY). I was really excited because I had never been to Rotorua before. I was lucky to have the opportunity to go with my Aunty Karine in the school holidays.

The drive was lovely it was very natural (but it was long though) and was about three hours long from Auckland. When we arrived at Rotorua we had a look around the town and we looked at so many different things like the Gondola, Luge, Kiwi Adventure Park, Rotorua boiling pools, and exciting boiling mud pools. Then we went to a restaurant for dinner at the Lone Star Restaurant.
